Our Curriculum

Anna Seward Nursery provides a broad and balanced curriculum, carefully designed to develop the whole child. We know that children learn best through first-hand experiences of doing, touching and seeing for themselves through play. Children’s intellectual, social, emotional, creative and physical development are all developed through our Key Questions. Each topic is launched with a Key Question that becomes the theme for all activities. Visit our nursery and you will be immersed into a world of safari, celebration or space exploration.

Before children can read to learn, they must learn to read. At Anna Seward Primary School we are passionate about supporting nursery children’s developing understanding of early reading through phonics. We also love to encourage a passion for stories that take them on wild adventures or help them understand different emotions with our regular story sessions.

The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership is committed to keeping our students safe, both in school and the wider community. As part of our safeguarding arrangements, we have a two-way information sharing agreement in place with the local police authority. The agreement is compliant with Crime & Disorder Act 1998 (s.115) and Data Protection Act 1998(s.29.3; s.35.2.), and focuses on preventing young people from becoming involved or further involved in crime and anti-social behaviour as a victim or offender.
